Cortez Magnet School is designated as an AVID Schoolwide Site of Distinction. This is the highest rating that a school can achieve on the AVID certification rating scale.

As you may be aware, AVID – Advancement Via Individual Determination – is something we implement at our school as a college readiness system where we
